In recent years, femoroacetabular impingement has been recognised as a significant contributing factor in the aetiology of osteoarthritis. As a result, treatment options for femoroacetabular impingement are evolving rapidly, and both open and arthroscopic techniques demonstrate significant promise. Treatment planning depends on the type, location, and severity of deformity. This review provides a summary of the recent techniques that have been developed for the treatment of femoroacetabular impingement.
